So this guy gets up on stage, puts on some chop suey specs, and starts harassing the Asians in the audience. I don’t know anything about this so-called comedian Brett Eidman, but based on this one clip — I’m not even entirely sure it’s real — he looks like an unfunny hack asshole who got what was coming to him: Comedian gets attacked on stage.

this is such a fucked up place to be in as an cisgendered, hetero asian man (and im sure even moreso as an asian woman or queer identified asian person of any gender). if u try to rip dude’s face off, u end up being perceived as a “sensitive/insecure asshole who can’t take a joke due to a lack of confidence.” if u do nothing, u face the external and internal perception that u are a coward and unable or unwilling to standup for your partner/girlfriend/wife/etc., thus reinforcing the stereotype that you are sensitive/insecure and lack confidence. i often go thru life un/consciously preparing for these moments of lose/lose confrontation, and while i HELLA feel george did what was correct, im sure it wasn’t easy and left him feeling all fucked up inside (even if it DID feel good to put his knuckles to this dumbass white man’s fat, stupid face). the difference for me is that my wifey would’ve punched this motherfucker her damn self and we wouldve stomped him out together. LOL love u boo.
