Our youth organizing programs: Gather 60-80 young Asian folks each year, ages 14-20, from low-income, immigrant, and refugee families, and train them to be leaders in their communities who make change around the issues that are important to them. Encourage young Asian folks in Oakland to develop their self-awareness and claim their power to stand up for long-term well-being of themselves, their families, and their communities. Operate year-round, including a summer session, and welcome new participants at different times throughout the year. Are leading a fabulous and boundary-pushing campaign to ensure that all Oakland students get a comprehensive sex education that has a justice framework and addresses their specific experiences.
