Tavis Smiley and Dr. West - The Rich & the Rest of Us: A Poverty Manifesto
Saw them in the Town last week and these two have and continue to light a fire up under my booty. Undoubtedly two of the sharpest minds & products of liberatory/transofrmational education alive today. The ability to articulate the Truth about one’s self and the world around them is a hella f*cking profound privilege & responsibility and Tavis & Dr. West rarely if ever, disappoint in coming through w examples of tremendous courage. Onwards into discomfort/challenge/pain (if one has the love/support/resource to do so, that is). =P
